Weekly Update 16th March 2021

Hello Everyone,

You didn’t miss it – I did not post a weekly update last week. I have a feeling that in a year of lockdowns this might have been the first week, so I am either very sorry, or for those of you who delete these without reading them, you’re welcome!

What I Have Been Up To

I have attended a few fantastic events in the past week. On Friday I did a Zumba Masterclass with the lovely Donna Giffen and Hender Corredor-Escalante. It’s been a while since I took part in a class just for my personal enjoyment and I had huge fun. I did still a few tracks however so some of the music may turn up in classes!

I have also been taking part in a couple of webinars with the aim of easing myself back into teaching face to face when we are allowed to do this.  I have more webinars to watch, but I am learning a lot.

On Sunday I had a virtual Jam, which is a way to learn new routines with my current favourite instructor, Roland Schmid. All 4 of the routines I learned are brilliant and a lot of fun, I am sure I will be bringing them all to my classes soon.

Step Challenge

I ended the 2nd week of the step challenge 10 000 steps ahead of target! I have been feeling particularly tired this last week so I have relaxed a little on the steps for a couple of days – however there is much walking planned for this weekend and I am confident that I will remain on target.  I would like to thank everyone again for your support.

Online and On Demand Classes

Online classes are still on as usual on Monday evenings at 6.30pm and Tuesday mornings at 9.30am.

After trialling On Demand classes, I have decided to not post these this week whilst I work out a few technical details and some new material – they will be back – and better – next week – and I hope there will be a Fitness Class too so if you are looking for a bit more of a challenge then do stay tuned!

Finally…

This has been an incredibly tough start to the year for everyone in various ways.  I am not trying to tout for business, but I would like you all to remember that making time for yourself is hugely important.  It can seem overwhelming, you may think you don’t have the time, you may feel guilty, but please remember that without recharging your own batteries you won’t have energy for anything else.  So take some time for you.
