Step Forwards

Weekly Update 28th January 2021

Hello Everyone

I hope that you are keeping well! We have nearly survived January 2021. If you have had the same experience as me, you will have found it challenging, but well done you made it!

Through January we have had some great online Gold classes. Thank you so much to everyone who has participated in them!

If you are interested in joining Zoom Gold and haven’t tried it yet, please get in contact with me.  You are not required to have your camera on – but it would be lovely to see that you are there.

Classes:

Zoom Gold will be on next week,  Monday at 6.30pm and Tuesday at 9.30am.

It will be great to see you.

If you want to book on, contact me directly, or go to my website: www.stepforwards.co.uk

Online recorded classes are going to be up by Monday!!! I would like to thank you all for your patience in this and look forward to sharing the classes with you. A further email with details will be sent out at the weekend.

Blog:

Also out at the weekend will be my next blog post – all about how exercise and dance can lift your mood. It will be on my website:  www.stepforwards.co.uk/blog on Saturday 30th January.

Charity:

This week I took part in an online charity Zumba class taught by my friend and Zumba colleague Nina Liim.  It was to raise money for a charity called WhizzKids.  She successfully raised £510 and we had a great class.  I love that we are still able to do things like this from the comfort of our own homes.

As I have mentioned, my charity of the year is Cancer Research and I have signed up for my first 2 challenges! The first is in March when I will be challenging myself to walk 10 000 steps every day.  I am looking forward to getting more active as the year progresses.

My just giving page for this challenge is here:  https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/sarahs-walk-all-over-cancer-fundraising-page-2329

Finally:

I got to take part in a Zoom discussion about menopause, stress and exercise this week, which was hugely inciteful.  If you are struggling through this time,  please know that there is always someone you can turn to and something you can do.

Stay safe and keep positive.

Sarah
