Step Forwards

Weekly Update 5th December 2020

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week and are enjoying the little bit of extra freedom that tier 2 brings.

I’ve had a whirlwind week, opening my classes,  taking on extra gym classes, starting a new job and starting to prepare for Christmas all at once. (for those of you who know me, you will know that if I am not overloaded I am not really me!)

First things – we can reopen! I am really looking forward to getting back to classes next week.  Lockdown 2.0 has felt long and tedious and the bad weather has not been inspiring. So I cannot wait to get back to some exercise and to see your smiling faces.

There are still a few spaces – particularly at Riseley Gym – so if you haven’t booked on and are thinking of it, please do!

Saying that, I was again overwhelmed by the speed and enthusiasm at which places got filled!

We will be open for 3 weeks and then hopefully in again January.  I will be opening booking for after Christmas soon so please feel free to book on – I will be there Government willing.

The main difference between classes last time and this time is that you will be required to wear a mask until you are in your exercise space (unless you are exempt) and you are required to ‘not mix’ with other people, although I will allow you all to interpret that as you see fit. I am certainly not going to discourage conversation.

With regard to online classes, I promise everything is coming.

I have videoed 9 routines which I am waiting for Simon to edit. I am also planning to get classes up on Zumba.com in the next 2 weeks.

This has been delayed slightly by an interesting decision on my part to take on a series of Clubbercise classes at Simply Gym, so all my spare energy is currently going into learning 10 routines for that!

Look out too for a new blog post which will be out by Tuesday.  It is about Christmas diets and why you shouldn’t follow them.

See you all next week! Keep kit. Stay Safe!
