Step Forwards

Weekly Update 22nd November 2o2o

I hope that you are all keeping well. Thank you to everyone who sent me well wishes for my birthday.  Considering it was Lockdown and raining we actually had a lovely couple of days and far too much cake!

I am probably a day early sending this as I know that there is going to be an announcement tomorrow regarding what will happen after lockdown comes to an end on December 2nd.  I am going to be honest here and say I am currently pessimistic about my ability to re-open face to face classes this side of Christmas, although should the miracle happen I will of course let you know.

In the meantime I am putting a few things in place to bridge the gap.

The first is that I promise You Tube videos will be up this week.  This week got away from us in terms of filming, but now birthday celebrations are over I am getting back to the grindstone.

The second is I have two proposals regarding online classes and I would be keen to see if they would interest anyone:

  1. Zoomba. I would be happy to resurrect Zoom classes until we could be face to face again, but due to the costs involved I would have to charge £3 per session.  If it would interest anyone then I would hold this on a Monday or Tuesday morning.
  2. Virtual classes.  Zumba.com offers a platform where I can teach classes online, without the use of Zoom. The classes would go up and stay up for 24 hours so you would not be tied to a time, and you would also not have to ‘see’ anyone else.  I would also like to hear if anyone would be interested in this.  I was thinking of putting a ‘Fitness’ class on this platform as well as a Gold class.

Lastly a new blog post is up today.  It is all about finding my ‘Lockdown Legs’ so give it a read.

I will update you further as the Government lays out its plans but in the meantime take care and I hope to hear from you soon!
