Step Forwards

Weekly Update 1st January 2021

Hello Everyone

We made it! I hope everyone has had a good Christmas and New Year!

Although we are starting this year locked into Tier 4 rules, unable to visit relatives and take part in a lot of our usual activities, I none the less entered this year optimistically and with a sense of purpose.  I sincerely hope that good things will happen this year and that some sense of normality will be returned to us.

I have a few things to notify you of so I am going to dive straight in:

Blog

My latest Blog Post – a review of 2020 – is now live on my website www.stepforwards.co.uk/blog/

I would love to hear if you would like to read more ‘information based’ blogs or more ‘personal journey’ blogs so if there is something that you would like to read let me know and I will see what I can do.

GDPR

I have sent out my annual GDPR check email. Chances are if you are reading this then you do still want to receive emails from me – but if you don’t then let me know and I will remove your details from my mailing list.

Charity

At the start of 2020 I was geared up to raise money for Cancer Research through the year.  With everything that happened I let charity go by the wayside – but I have decided – especially in light of news I have recently received –  that whatever happens we will be raising money this year somehow.  If there is something that you would like to see me do – or if there is something that you would like to do yourself – I would love to hear from you.

Classes

Sadly and frustratingly I cannot return to any face to face teaching for the time being, however I will be returning to a combination of Zoom and pre-recorded classes the week of January 11th 2021.

I’ll be sending out a further email with all the details as we are just finalising a few details regarding the booking – but there will be two Zoomba classes a week, plus whole pre-recorded classes available.

It will be very simple to use and will mean that you can exercise ‘with’ other people, or with your video off.

And finally… 2020 was an extremely tough year, and whilst I am sure we all have ambitions for and expectations of 2021, be kind to yourself and don’t be sad if it doesn’t happen instantaneously.  We are still in a very challenging time and needing comfort and support in ways we may not have needed in other years. So if your diet doesn’t start today, or if your plans to go walking wait for warmer weather, don’t be angry at yourself.  Do what you need to look after yourself and feel good.  Listen to your body. It often knows better than you.
